Artwork’s Story: Originally built for the 1915 Panama Canal exhibition in San Diego, CA. This building now houses the San Diego History Center, Museum of Photography and Art (MoPA) and the nation’s largest Model Railroad Museum, The San Diego Model Railroad Museum (SDMRM). It was created to show case the beauty of the Baroque style architecture envisioned by the original exhibitioners and has been restored by the dedicated ‘Committee of 100’ or patrons of Balboa, Park CA.
